About this Event
Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster is asking you to use your voice to tell him your main concerns about policing.
The information that you give us will help to develop the new Police and Crime Plan, which will set out the PCC's policing priorities and what West Midlands Police will be delivering over the next four years.
Simon Foster wants West Midlands Police to be an excellent force - one that you deserve and we want to ensure that those priorities are influenced by the information and feedback that you give to us. It is important that we are responding to the needs of our communities.
We are holding a series of events that are targeting particular priority areas:
Faith communities have a critical role to play in reaching and connecting with individuals and families across the West Midlands.
They are visible within communities and able to offer support in a way that statutory partners alone aren’t able to and make an important contribution to the prevention and reduction of violence and keeping communities safe. Faith groups contribute significantly to society, in so many ways and we want to ensure that we maximise the potential of faith communities to help us look for solutions; whether it be by providing opportunities for young people, utilising the resource of volunteering or making community assets available.
The PCC is keen to engage with, listen to and work with the diverse faith groups of the West Midlands in a collaborative way in order to influence the priorities being developed for his new Police and Crime Plan.
We want to increase our engagement with faith communities, and this event is an opportunity to further the work that we are already doing. Come and hear about the work of the Faith Alliance, join in the conversation and help us to progress the work that we are already doing.
Your voice will help us to work towards a safer and more inclusive West Midlands. There are a number of strands to this consultation and it is running for 3 months. It ends mid October, so please also fill in our Police & Crime Plan 2025-2029 public consultation as well as coming to this event.
If you have further questions about the event, please contact [email protected] or 0121 626 6060.
