On Saturday, March 29, 2025, we’re welcoming Marine Valet from Paris for a 3-hour workshop, followed by a party. This workshop will be held in French, with English translation if needed.Marine Valet is an advanced-level West Coast Swing (WCS) dancer and instructor with significant experience on the international WCS circuit. She has performed and taught at events across Europe, demonstrating both exceptional technical skills and a dynamic approach to teaching. Known for her precise styling and attention to connection, Marine’s workshops offer insights into the finer aspects of WCS for dancers of all levels. She brings a unique energy to the dance floor, making her a sought-after instructor for WCS communities in Europe.
The workshops on the 29th of March are designed for dancers with a prior experience in WCS. Having prior experience in West Coast Swing means you should be familiar with the fundamental 6-count and 8-count patterns of the dance. This includes the starter step, left side pass, sugar push, sugar tuck, underarm turn, whip, and free spin. These are the essential building blocks of WCS, and understanding them will ensure you can follow along comfortably during the workshops.
