West Coast Swing is a smooth, versatile partner dance that evolved from the Lindy Hop and is typically danced to a wide range of music genres, including blues, R&B, pop, and contemporary. Known for its distinctive elastic look and relaxed, slotted style, West Coast Swing emphasizes connection, improvisation, and musical interpretation between partners.
In this dance, the follower typically moves back and forth along a “slot” while the leader guides with subtle, fluid movements.
