For ten walks, the West Bay community has come together step by step to celebrate connection, opportunity and belonging. What began as a simple walk has grown into a powerful reminder of what happens when a community shows up for one another.
Strides for Independence is a day when families, friends, employees, community partners and neighbors gather to walk together and support opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to pursue interests, build friendships, develop skills and contribute their unique gifts within the community.
