Join this mostly West African-based drum class facilitated by Sean that focuses on hand technique and traditional and non-traditional rhythms for Djembe drums. Learn traditional African rhythms, how to approach a drum circle, etiquette, hand technique, ergonomics, and much more. Drumming can be a fascinating tool for meditation, spiritual growth & connection. No experience necessary!
Sean has more than 30 years drumming experience with a strong influence in the Central Florida drum community. "CongaSean" has a unique playing style and approach to rhythm that is all his own. You will often find him performing, recording, teaching group drum workshops & one-on-one classes, making drum stands or re-heading, repairing and rebuilding drums. Sean is a VMC Certified Drum Circle Facilitator, and has participated, organized and facilitated countless drum circles including large festival fire circles for more than 20 years. He will have djembe drums for sale as well ~ Check him out!
