Wes served in the Vermont Army National Guard, was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and was a highly decorated veteran. After completing his career in the military Wes joined the Hartford Fire Department in 2016. In February of 2017 Wes was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, associated with the military burn pits and underwent years of treatment. Wes battled hard and courageously, but unfortunately in November of 2021 Wes lost his battle with cancer. During his fight Wes was a strong advocate for veterans on a State and National level with his tireless work for the burn pit registration. Wes is survived by his Wife Laura and Son Ronan.
