MARK YOUR CALENDAR, Major JAZZ EVENT. Wednesday March 18th the Bill Coleman Trio Band will be paying homage to the great Wes Montgomery here at Fritz Brothers Guitars. Tickets can be purchased for $20 through Venmo @FritzBrothersGuitars or RSVP for tickets at the door. Admission includes Catered Appetizers, Soup, Sparkling Wine, and a Coffee + Hot Cocoa & Tea Bar. Doors open at 6 Music starts at 7:00-9:00 p.m.Bill Coleman is a real legend, and we are honored to have him bring his trio here. He started out playing professionally at the age of 16, studying under the great Joe Pass and John Collins in San Diego, he then went on to play for the United States Air Force Band during the Vietnam War and has been active recording and playing on literally hundreds of radio, television and movie scores. His orchestral skills have also landed him in many symphony and Broadway musicals such as Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly, and on and on.
He has played with so many of our heroes it is hard to mention all of them but a few of his appearances and accompanies have been with The Smothers Brothers, Marylin McCoo, The Platters, The Drifters, The Lennon Sisters, Rosemary Clooney, Bob Hope, Burl Ives, Patti Page, Frankie Lane, The Fifth Dimension and many, many more...
