David Henthorne, author of Wellness in the Woods: Hiking for Health, Healing & Happiness, will share the many ways hiking can benefit us body, mind & soul. Discover how the restorative powers of nature can revitalize our physical well-being, boost our immune system, reduce stress, improve mental health, and unleash creative thinking. We’ll also explore the importance of eco-friendly hiking and protecting natural areas, and the wonders of Ohio’s 76 state parks.
David Henthorne is an award-winning creative director, writer, and Certified Tourism Ambassador. He has created ad campaigns for many of America’s top brands, been a speaker at national travel conferences, and is a board trustee for the nonprofit Ohio State Parks Foundation. He has hiked 75 of Ohio’s 76 state parks, as well as hundreds of trails across the country and around the world. He shares his adventures at his website, WorldOfWanders.com.
