WELLNESS HIKE BY THE SEA — Torre Flavia Marsh Natural MonumentDiscover 48 hectares of coastal wetlands between Cerveteri and Ladispoli: sandy dunes, coastal lakes, migratory birds and a rare coastal landscape — a peaceful 8 km hike close to Rome.
Highlights:
- Walk through dunes, beach and coastal marshes
- Spot migratory bird species and abundant wildlife
- Start in Marina di Cerveteri, finish in Ladispoli (train back to Rome)
- Less than 1 hour from Rome and easily reachable by train
Duration & level:
- ≈ 3.5 hours (excluding briefing, explanations and rest breaks)
- Distance: ~8 km, 20 m elevation gain
- Difficulty: Easy (some sections may be underwater at high tide — waterproof footwear required)
- Meeting time: 15 minutes before departure in Marina di Cerveteri
- Language: English
