Please join me on my all inclusive Mindfulness Yoga and Gong Bath Sound Healing Emersion with walking Day Retreat in the Peak District on Saturday 21st and 2th September 2024. With Kate Kearns, Senior Yoga Teacher/Sound Healing practitioner for an exclusive day retreat of mindfulness in a breath taking tranquil location.This year’s Mindful Yoga Retreats will take place again at Gradbach Mill, Quarnford, located just outside Buxton the famous Spa Town, on the borders of Derbyshire and Staffordshire, where I have ran wonderful Yoga Retreats since 2018.
We have an exclusive weekend retreat taking place and for those who are unable to attend the whole weekend you can join the retreat for the day.
Gradbach Mill is a former silk spinning mill, which is now a luxury 4 star, stunning accommodation, full of history, set among some of the Peak Districts most beautiful scenery, in a wooded valley, situated along-side the bank of the River Dane with walks to the Roaches and Luds Church right on the doorstep. Gradbach Mill set in a tiny hamlet is just 45 minutes’ drive from Manchester Airport.
Saturday morning will start at 8am (or join us early at 7am for a wild water dip in the river Dane) with a refreshing choice of Mindful Ashtanga or Vinyasa flow to suit all levels. Vegetarian Breakfast will be served, with a choice a full cooked breakfast feast, fruit, fresh croissants, juices, cereal and yogurts. and you can relax in the local surrounding or join us for a mindful walk to Lud’s Church or further exploring of the local area, to the The Roaches or 3 Shires. On your return a light lunch will be served and then we have a Restorative, Yin Yoga with Gong Bath Sound Healing workshop to release, relax and let go of anything that no longer serves you
.
Day retreat cost £95. The day includes all vegetarian meals, caters for special dietary requirements. Bespoke Holistic Treatments will also be available at an additional cost.
A bit about the walk to Lud's church - Legend has it that Lud’s Church, a natural stone cleft sliced into the hillside above Gradbach, was the inspiration for Sir Gawain and the Green Knight – a medieval tale of chivalry, bravery and honour. Thought to have been formed by an ancient landslide, which saw a section of rock literally slip away from the hill, the deep chasm is 100 metres long and 15 metres deep.
