About the Event
Session 1: 20 Jul 2024, 2 – 3.30 pm *
Session 2: 27 Jul 2024, 2 – 3.30 pm *
Session 3: 3 Aug 2024, 2 – 4.00 pm *
*Participants are required to attend ALL three sessions to get the full experience and optimise their learning. Participants will not be able to join in subsequent sessions if they miss a previous session.
In an increasingly complex, fast-changing world, taking care of our own well-being has become more important, to sustain us and allow us to accomplish what we care about. Learn about simple, life-giving guidelines and principles for you to take charge of your own wellbeing, and help you uncover what might facilitate or hinder the actions to nourish yourself. This workshop comprises three interactive and experiential sessions and a booster session that aim to enable you to explore and become more aware of what needs your attention in nurturing rather than depleting yourself. It will be conducted in an inviting environment where you can feel safe to engage in reflection and conversation with fellow participants.
The workshop is based on the book Tending Our Gardens: Reflections to Nourish our Growth and Renewal, first published in 2012, and an expanded second edition containing new reflections and deeper learning was published in Nov 2022. The workshop will be conducted by the book's authors, Dr Wu Mi Yin and Wong Yim Harn.
Conversations on Living Well
21 Sep 2024, 2 – 4.00 pm
This booster series is a continuation from Wellbeing 1-2-3. It is intended to provide participants who have attended Wellbeing 1-2-3 with further support to deepen their practice of nurturing themselves. It is open to all past participants of a Wellbeing 1-2-3 workshop.
About the Authors
Dr Wu Mi Yin started her career with Organisational Learning and capability development. Through workshops, retreats, speaking engagements and coaching conversations, she continues to inspire others to develop their strengths and grow as whole persons. Mi Yin is an adjunct facilitator with the Greenleaf Centre for Servant-Leadership (Asia), a CMA certified (PCC) Transformational Coach and Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and Family Coach.
Wong Yim Harn is a lifelong learner and educator. She was introduced to the importance of self-care and renewal when she was among the first guides to be trained to lead retreats in the Ministry of Education’s Teacher Renewal experience. She subsequently went on to train other guides and also contributed to the re-design of the experience, working closely with the original designers of the year-long retreat. She later initiated the idea of a P.I.E.S. Café, an inviting space where people can gather to slow down, reflect and have meaningful conversations in a safe environment.
