We are pleased to introduce Welfare Wednesday, a new initiative aimed at providing support, information, and connection for our veteran and member community.
Beginning on Wednesday 24th June 9:30, Welfare Wednesday will be held on the last Wednesday of each month at the Goolwa RSL. This informal gathering is an opportunity for members, veterans, and their families to drop in for a chat, enjoy a cuppa, and access assistance with a range of welfare-related matters.
Whether you need guidance with DVA claims, support services, advocacy, military records and family history research, or simply want someone to point you in the right direction, Welfare Wednesday is here to help. There is no appointment necessary—just come along and have a conversation.
From time to time, Welfare Wednesday will also feature guest speakers from local allied health and support service providers. These sessions will give veterans and their families the opportunity to learn more about the range of services available through DVA, including physical and mental health supports, rehabilitation programs, wellbeing initiatives, aged care services, and community-based assistance. Our aim is to help members better understand the support available to them, make informed decisions about their care, and build connections with trusted local providers.
We recognise that navigating services and entitlements can sometimes be challenging, and we hope this initiative will provide a welcoming environment where members can access support, share experiences, and strengthen the camaraderie that is at the heart of our RSL community.

Who: Open to veterans, members, and their families. Anyone from our community
We encourage anyone who may benefit from assistance, information, or simply some company to come along.
