We will meet LIVE in Albion at Stirling Books & Brew!
Recent food prices busting your budget? Free tasty wild organic food grows all around you and likely right in your yard. Val Rossman’s foraging lifestyle started with hickory nuts, black raspberries and bluegills as a kid and a day doesn’t go by without wild food as part of her meals. Her wild food creations have brought her numerous wins at the Midwest Wild Harvest Festival and the Great Lakes Forgers' Gathering cooking competitions. She’ll share how to get started safely, some easy items to look for as well as some samples - YUM!. Val has logged hiking miles on the NCT, AT and completed the entire 530 miles Camino De Santiago Frances for her 60th birthday. World adventuring, kayaking, sailing, skiing, gardening, cycling, beekeeping and wine making keep her moving when she’s not in her pottery studio.
Val hails from Union City and does not make public presentations as a norm, so we are appreciative to have her share her knowledge, experience and food lifestyle with us at this charming venue in Albion, with great food and beverages for purchase.
A brief chapter business meeting will follow Val's presentation for those who wish to stay.
As always, our meetings are open to the public and FREE!
