Welcome Tour 2026 for Dortmund's New Top Talents in Business and Science

The first few weeks in a new city are always exciting. While getting to know your working environment and colleagues, there is often not enough time to explore your new home. We want to change that and take you on a guided welcome tour through Dortmund! You will meet like-minded people from business and science and can make new contacts in an informal setting.
During the tour, a professional guide will take you to Lake PHOENIX and the home of BVB. We supplement these tourist highlights with places of economic interest to you, such as Dortmund harbour and PHOENIX West.
The next date for our welcome tour is on September 10th 2026, 3.30 p.m. to approx. 8.00 p.m. We wrap up the tour at the Feierabendmarkt at Theatre Dortmund and have a light dinner at Sami's Theaterbar starting at around 6.30 p.m.
The starting point of the tour is at TU Dortmund University in front of the Erich Brost Institute, Otto-Hahn-Str. 2, and thus convenient for many participants working in science.
