This September, you’re invited to leave Havre de Grace behind and step into another world.
Join us for Joe Harter’s highly anticipated exhibition, Welcome to Metropolis, where his signature skylines, winding highways, boardwalks, towering buildings, and bustling cityscapes invite you into the vibrant world he has imagined and lovingly created.
But this won’t be a traditional art exhibition.
We’re transforming the gallery into an immersive experience where Joe’s world comes alive. Through carefully designed audio, interactive elements, and live scenes inspired by his paintings, visitors won’t just view his artwork, they’ll feel as though they’ve stepped directly into the city Joe has built on canvas. Every detail is designed to celebrate his creativity and offer a glimpse into the way he sees the world.
This exhibition is a reminder that art has the power to transport us, challenge our perspectives, and connect us through imagination.
None of this would be possible without the talented Joe Harter himself and the incredible community that has believed in Joe every step of the way. To the volunteers, artists, supporters, donors, and friends who have encouraged Joe, helped build this experience, and continue to champion inclusive opportunities for artists with disabilities…thank you.
