Welcome Summer with Hearts and Flowers
Come join us for an afternoon of wet felting a small heart shaped vessel, and perhaps a little time left over to create a little fantasy flower. We will be working primarily with merino wool roving over a resist (a form used to shape the heart) with some additional fibers if you chose to decorate the top of your heart. These may include coarse wool batts, and other fibers such as bamboo, string, cheese cloth, silk. . . The same range of fibers can be used to create small felted flowers. Felt is the oldest known handmade fabric. This will be an exploration in how to layout fibers to create a 2-dimensional image. No experience with felting or drawing needed. You will go home with your own picture. And, what a great way to work out your arms!
Materials provided. Cash donations always welcome.
Open to Bennington County residents. Adults & youth ages 12+ accompanied by an adult are welcome. Space is limited. RSVP is required. Please RSVP by June 24, 2026 to [email protected] or (802) 442-6934.
