Wekiva River Paddle Meetup

Saturday, August 23 | Launching at 9:00 AMWekiwa Springs State Park, Apopka, FL

Join us for a laid-back, nature-soaked paddle meetup through one of Florida’s most beautiful spring-fed rivers! Whether you're kayaking or paddle boarding, this is your chance to connect with new friends, soak up some sun, and float your way into good vibes.

We'll be launching promptly at 9:00 AM from Wekiwa Springs State Park, so please plan to arrive between 8:00–8:30 AM to give yourself enough time to unload your gear, get ready, or rent your vessel if needed.

If you’ve got your own kayak or paddleboard, you can launch for FREE. If not, no worries—rentals are available right at the park:🛶 Kayak Rentals: $40–$65🏄‍♀️ Paddle Board Rentals: $45–$50

We’ll paddle downstream to Wekiva Island—a local gem with a bar, volleyball courts, food, and a chill riverfront vibe. Expect it to take about 1 hour to reach Wekiva Island, where we’ll hang out, grab lunch, and relax before paddling back upstream (allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the return). It’s a bit more effort, but totally doable and fun.

Some generous paddlers may have extra kayaks or paddle boards to lend, but these are not guaranteed—so please plan ahead! Rentals are your safest bet if you’re unsure.
