Radiohead + Phish = Something Entirely NewWeird Phishes is bringing their rendition of Radiohead’s “The Bends” Reimagined to Elkton Music Hall! Equal parts 90s-guitar-rock and funk-driven improvisational jams, the band runs every song through their own filter, fully rearranging the source material through unexpected mashups and crunchy, danceable jams in the style of Phish. Weird Phishes is not a tribute band that performs note-for-note renditions of classic records. Instead, the band finds a new soul in existing songs by reworking the iconic alt-rock of Radiohead with the energy, humor, and improvisational nature of Phish - two artists from completely different sides of the coin.
A Weird Phishes album performance is a special night - the band captures the spirit of the album, while simultaneously leaving nothing as it was.
