Guests who purchase produce from our Greenmarket table or with one of our community vendors will receive food while supplies last.



12:30 PM | Yoga Nidra for Healthy Aging with

Slow down and settle into a guided Yoga Nidra practice designed to support deep physical, emotional, and mental rest. Through intention setting, breathwork, and a gentle body scan, participants will be guided into a restorative state that can help reduce stress and support better sleep and overall well-being.

Led by Dianne Scott, M.S.Ed., E-RYT, founder of Joy of Living Yoga and a veteran yoga and meditation teacher with more than 30 years of experience.



1 PM | Choose Your Flow
  • Fabric Food Forest Workshop with Contribute to a growing community quilt inspired by Crown Heights’ natural environment. Using embroidery, appliqué, hand stitching, or drawing, participants will create individual quilt squares that will become part of Field Meridians’ ongoing Fabric Food Forest tapestry. Along the way, explore quilting, local ecology, and our relationships with the plants, trees, birds, bees, and other neighbors that share our environment.
  • How to Build an at Home Library: A Family Literacy Workshop with Explore how families can create literacy-rich homes where children and caregivers read, reflect, and grow together. Through interactive storytime and guided caregiver reflection, families will explore parenting, identity, rest, and emotional well-being. Participating families will also receive curated book bundles featuring culturally affirming children’s books and caregiver-centered reading materials to help continue these practices at home.



2 PM | Choose Your Flow
  • Rest & Restore Yoga with Join Six Travis for a restorative yoga session welcoming all ages, bodies, and experience levels. Move, breathe, and turn inward while cultivating rest, self-awareness, and connection in the communal energy of Weeksville. This session will take place outdoors. Yoga mats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The Art of Birdwatching with Join us for an hour long beginners birding workshop with Indigo Goodson-Fields. We will bird the Weeksville Center grounds while discussing and identifying backyard birds and migratory species. Indigo will discuss the community of Black birders, the importance of birding and our impact on larger birding culture. The route includes some paved paths, gravel, grass and slight inclines. The route is approximately 2 acres and there will be opportunities to rest and bathroom access. The route is amenable based on need.



3:30pm | Designing Identity: Jewelry, Culture & Storytelling with

Join Jam+Rico founder Lisette Scott for a hands-on jewelry-making workshop inspired by the Caribbean and African Diaspora. Explore how adornment can carry culture, memory, and personal meaning, then create your own necklace or bracelet using beads, charms, and natural materials.

No experience needed. All materials are provided, and everyone will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece to take home.

  • Chess on the Lawn with and Pull up a chair and play a round of chess throughout the afternoon with Veronica Lorya of Rooklyn and Bed-Stuy native and National Chess Master James Black of KnightShiftChess. All ages and experience levels are welcome, whether you’re looking for a casual game or want to learn the basics. New to chess? Free beginner lessons will be offered at 1 pm and 3:30 pm.
