Weekly Walk and Deep Chats (The Board Walks)

Hey there! 👋  The Board Walks are a second home for curious, kind, and open-minded people who love meaningful conversations. If that sounds like you, join us every Saturday at 8 AM to walk 5 miles.

We ask that you bring a thoughtful topic with you. Think of your topic like the dish you'd bring to your grandma's potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish, then we'll create the most epic 8 AM potluck on the planet. Be a good egg and make your grandma smile.

Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends from out of town... if you believe they'd deeply resonate with our values and love meaningful chats, bring 'em all. We are just kicking things off in Columbus, but the other chapters have multiple first-timers on each walk and we will be working very hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.

I’m Alison Sumich, your host!  I’m so excited to bring this walk to Columbus!

The movement started back in July 2022, when a group of curious people showed up at a coffee shop and walked 5 miles together in Austin, Texas. Since then, over 15,000 people have joined the walks in Austin and San Francisco.  Most recently, a new chapter started in Boone, NC.  There are several new locations starting soon too! 

I started following The Board Walks on social media, and was inspired by the stories of connection shared from the other walks. Having lived in Columbus for close to ten years now, I felt this would be something that resonated with people here!  So I’m inviting you to gather, move, and connect with people you may never meet in your day to day life. 

Come as you are — I can’t wait to walk with you.
