Weekly Summer Camp!

Looking for just a week or two of magical summer childcare?
We’re now offering weekly camp bookings at Sunhouse Outdoor Academy, perfect for families needing part-time care with all the fun of a full nature-based program.

Our nature camps are designed for children ages 3–5 and led by experienced educators who specialize in outdoor early childhood education. Each day is filled with exploration, creativity, and connection all in the beautiful setting of Trout Lake Park.

Info: Morning Walk & Nature Connection
We start each day with a peaceful trail walk—about two-thirds around the lake. This helps calm busy minds, regulate emotions, and ease energy, creating space for children to connect with nature, friends, and their teachers. Along the way, we use fun I Spy-style scavenger hunt cards to encourage observation and curiosity.

Shared Meal Times
We eat together twice a day—once mid-morning and once early afternoon. These group meals are more than just snack time; they’re a chance for children to connect, tell stories, laugh, and build a sense of community.

Weekly STEM Explorations
Each week includes hands-on STEM activities (such as kite building, mini shelter building, or nature-based experiments) designed to spark curiosity and build critical thinking. These experiences are playful, tactile, and age-appropriate.
