Join us for weekly Tuesday daytime programming at the Small Arms Inspection Building. This programming will include community drop-ins and workshops, for those whose curiosity knows no boundaries!
Interactive Learning
Active, participatory programming is an important emphasis in all of our daytime programming. We will have three different learning spaces to choose from, from self-guided in a group environment to full instructional learning time.
A Creative and Collaborative Space
The Small Arms Inspection Building is a creative hub with a rich heritage in the Mississauga area. It is an open space ideal for art exploration in a social environment. This special space drives possibilities for learning and developing together. The Hub's daytime programming coincides with public hours at the SAIB. Expect to be in a community space with others.
Look forward to events including:
BRING YOUR OWN CRAFT
-On the first Tuesday of the month. Drop-in, bring a project that you have on the go and don't forget to bring a mug to enjoy some hot herbal tea. This programming is a casual environment to work on a creative project in a social atmosphere. A CreativeHub staff member and a volunteer will be onsite, we look forward to getting crafty with you all!
DROP-IN LEARNING SESSIONS
-Drop-in learning sessions will be offered to accommodate a loose learning structure stepping away from the goal of leaving with a finished product. This is a time for curiosity, experiential learning and exposure to new techniques and approaches. These sessions will be supported by an instructor to provide guidance and technical leadership while you work with the artistic medium of the day.
COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS
-Community workshops focus on bringing people together for exciting and creative activities with our community partners. These sessions are also a great opportunity to connect with others and build new friendships. Our team is currently developing a wide variety of community workshops, so keep an eye out for updates!
