Weekly Beginners Skateboarding

Join our weekly skateboarding lessons every Tuesday from 4:30pm–5:30pm at SonSk8 Indoor Skatepark.

These sessions are designed for beginners and progressing riders who want to build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun in a safe indoor environment — rain or shine.

Our experienced coaches break things down step-by-step, covering balance, pushing, turning, ramps, and basic tricks. Whether it’s your first time on a board or you’re looking to level up, you’ll get hands-on guidance the whole way through.

Skateboards and safety gear are available if you don’t have your own.

Cost: $20 per session
Time: Every Tuesday, 4:30pm–5:30pm

Stay after and ride with your new skills — progression happens fast when you keep rolling.

Good to know

• Beginner friendly – No experience needed. We start from the basics and build up fast.
• Ages – Best suited for kids aged 5–14, but all beginners welcome.
• All gear available – Skateboards, helmets, and pads can be provided at no extra cost.
• Indoor facility – Held at SonSk8 Indoor Skatepark, so weather never cancels sessions.
• Small group coaching – More one-on-one attention = faster progression.
• Qualified coaches – Experienced riders who know how to teach safely and keep it fun.
• Safety first – Helmets strongly recommended (and provided if needed).
• Stay & ride after – Option to keep skating after the lesson to practice skills.

Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself. If you’ve got your own board/helmet, bring it — otherwise we’ve got you covered.

What if my child is nervous?
That’s normal. We work at their pace and focus on confidence first.

Can beginners really learn in one session?
Yes. Most first-timers are standing, pushing, and turning within the hour.

Do I need to book in advance?
Recommended. Sessions can fill up, especially during school terms.

Can parents stay and watch?
Yes — you’re welcome to hang out and watch the progress.
