Evansville is joining the Indiana Organizing Project and communities across Indiana for a statewide weekend of action calling for an end to ICE detention at Miami Correctional Facility.

People across Indiana will gather for rallies, vigils, sign waving, and other peaceful actions in solidarity with immigrant neighbors, families, and communities.
Quick facts about ICE detention:
Over 70% of ICE detainees have never been convicted of a crime.
ICE detainees at Miami Correctional Facility report medical neglect.
Two ICE detainees have died at Miami Correctional Facility in 2026.
Due to Illegal Detention, ICE Detainees have been forced to file Habeas petitions in federal court — overwhelming federal courts.
