Weekend of Impact

The Youth Department at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church has partnered with the Community Impact Group for their first Weekend of Impact! This two day event will focus on the history of Pocahontas Island, located in Petersburg, VA. It starts on Friday, July 17th from 5:30pm for the viewing of the documentary, "The Promise Land: The Story of Pocahontas Island" with a Q&A with special guests. We will continue on Saturday, July 18th where we will travel to Pocahontas Island to participate in community clean up efforts to help preserve the history and community that the Island provides. This event is open to youth of all ages throughout the community. We look forward to coming together to make an impact, together!
