Weekend Family Hike

Summer is at its peak and life is buzzing in our local preserves. We invite you to join us with other families to appreciate the beauty of Marian Yarrow Preserve with its hidden lake, waterfall, and groves of maple and birch. LLT has been working hard to restore native plants to this preserve and the plantings can be observed on this hike as well. Even if the heat, this trail is mostly shaded by the canopy and is a great option on those brutally hot summer days.

We recommend wearing sturdy shoes like hiking boots or sneakers, appropriate layers, and a hat. We also recommend bringing water and bug spray. Steady rain or other inclement weather will cancel. This program is recommended for people aged 5 and up due to uneven terrian. For younger children a carry option is recommended. The trails are not accessible by stroller.
