Daniela Šípková Mahoney will be back after a few years to teach traditional craft workshops on Oct 24th -27th. Daniela, one of the best known Czech artists living in the US was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia and learned these crafts from her grandmother.
Cost:$25 per person or $40 per 2 classes or people
all supplies included
school aged kids welcome, parent needs to stay on premises

Friday, October 24:
Corn Husk and Yarn Dolls Ornaments ….. Friday workshop #1: 10:30 - 12 noon
Each participant will make multiple colorful miniature dolls of their choice.
Easter Egg Decorating With Drop Pull Method ….. Friday workshop #2: 1:30 - 3:00 PM
Each participant will decorate at least two eggs using this traditional wax decorating method. (wax stays)
Czech Glass Jewelry Making ….. Friday workshop #3: 3:30 PM - 5 PM
Each participant will make one necklace and one bracelet of their choice using Czech glass beads. This is the same workshop as Sunday workshop #3
Czech Glass .....Friday 6 - 7:30 PM
Free lecture by Daniela Mahoney about Czech glassmaking throughout the centuries including glass beads and glass beads ornaments.
Saturday, October 25:
Easter Egg Decorating With Drop Pull Method ….. Saturday workshop # 1: 10 - 11:30 AM
Each participant will decorate at least two eggs using this traditional wax batik method (wax removed). This is the same workshop as Monday workshop #1
Czech Glass Bead Ornaments - beginners ….. Saturday workshop #2: 12 noon - 1:30 PM
Each participant will make a minimum of two glass bead stars of their choice using imported Czech glass beads. This is the same workshop as Monday workshop #2
Straw Craft Decorations: Hearts and Stars ….. Saturday workshop #3: 3:00 - 4:30 PM
Each participant will make a minimum of one heart and one star straw decorations.
Czech Holidays and Traditions ….. Saturday 5:30 - 7
Free lecture by Daniela Mahoney on Czech holidays and traditions including but not limited to Easter and Christmas, followed by a personalization of Daniela’s egg ornaments available in our gift store.
Sunday, October 26:
Dough Ornaments ….. Sunday workshop #1 12:30 - 2:00 PM
Each participant will make 3-5 ornaments from the traditional salt dough and take it home to bake.
Czech Glass Bead Ornaments - advanced ….. Sunday workshop #2: 3:00 - 4:30 PM
Each participant will make a minimum of two more advanced glass bead ornaments.
Czech Glass Jewelry Making ….. Sunday workshop #3: 5:00 - 6:30 PM
