Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world's largest early childhood education association, with nearly 60,000 members and a network of 52 Affiliates. The purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.
Mark your calendars for two days of free, fun festivities hosted by us. The first set of celebrations will be held at Olivera Park, Los Banos, on April 5, 2025, while the second will take place at Applegate Park, Merced on April 12, 2025. This year, we are offering a limited number of sandwiches to families with a 0-5 aged child in attendance. We encourage you to still come picnic style!
