Wednesdays at the Walk In Art Center!! Unleashed Watercolors with Norma HirschLet watercolor do what it does best. In this playful, technique-rich session, Norma invites you to keep an open mind, experiment, and enjoy the spontaneity that makes watercolor feel like magic. You’ll explore tape and rubber-cement resists, texture with salt and sponges, wet-into-wet vs. dry brush, lifting, soft vs. crisp edges, and expressive mark-making with flat, round, and fan brushes. Norma shares her favorite tips and quirky workflows, cheering you on to trust your instincts—no rigid rules, just feeling, expression, and freedom on paper.
You’ll leave with:
-Multiple small studies and one finished piece
-A toolkit of techniques you can repeat at home
-Confidence to let watercolor’s unique, sometimes uncontrollable nature work for you
