This workshop is all about creating a portrait of your loved one! Using stencils, acrylic paints, and posca markers in a limited colour palette, you will work with bright primary colours and black to capture your family or friends in the pop-art style.
During the workshop you will learn how to use an app called Colorfy to turn your photo portrait into a black and white outline. You will then trace onto another surface, and unleash your inner artist: use this freedom to have fun, making your loved ones come to life on a piece of paper.
This workshop is inspired by Julian Opi, and Roy Lichtenstein: both incredible artists notorious for their flat portraits in basic colours, graphic style, and flat shapes. Learn how to create these masterpieces yourself here and continue at home. We invite everyone to create!
Enjoy two hours of time to unwind and participate in a hands-on, art-making workshop. Accompanied by snacks, drinks and like-minded folks, this is your invitation to pause your everyday routine and mindfully cut and paste your way through your Wednesday night.
All materials provided. No experience necessary.
Enjoy snacks upon arrival
Who is Wednesday Night Workshop for?
Folks aged 18+ who enjoy being a bit creative and want to meet like-minded people. No previous art experience is required for these workshops, just a willingness to try something new!
