Join us for our Wednesday Lunch Series, featuring guest speakers from Cornell's faculty and staff as well as the surrounding community. Enjoy an informal discussion where you can learn more about the speaker’s work or research, how they ended up doing what they are doing, current issues in higher education, or even their thoughts on living in Ithaca. Growing up in Israel, I witnessed and experienced the devastating impact of ongoing war and deep conflict. Working as an educator in different communities and studying political anthropology, I learned about the possibilities and complexities of collaboration and change. My work at Cornell is an attempt to teach, practice and explore hope in a society characterized, in many ways, by polarization and othering. Together with IDP staff and undergraduate facilitators, I lead the development and implementation of campus-wide educational programs and interventions, focusing on four key development areas: human connection, social and personal identity, intentional communication, and collaborative change. Collaborating with students, staff, faculty, and academic leadership, we support change at personal, interpersonal, and institutional levels.
