Wednesday Improv 101 with Scott!

About the Class: This is an 8 week long class that will teach the fundamentals of long form Improv Comedy. Topics covered include agreement with a scene partner, character creation, listening as a character and an actor, and exploring the worlds created in scenes. The class ends with a graduation show where the students can show their friends and family the skills learned. Students must be 18 or older for this class!

This Class will run Wednesdays from 7pm-9pm on the following dates: 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, and 12/10. This class has a class show on Saturday 12/13 at 5pm! No Class on 11/26, Thanksgiving Break!

You can miss no more than two session to be eligible for the class show! Ticket sale ends at noon on Monday 10/13!

About the Teacher: : Scott Harvey began attending early Lancaster Improv Players’ shows in 2015 before joining the troupe himself in 2018. Scott was one of LIP’s first students and has since completed LIP’s full curriculum. He coached LIP’s First Friday team “Minimum Rage/First Base” through both the pandemic and the Before Times. Scott taught high school English for six years before becoming an instructional designer. When he is not working or practicing improv, he is probably listening to the improv comedy podcasts Hollywood Handbook or The Teacher’s Lounge.

Refund Policy: We will not refund any orders after the start of the first session.

Parking: There is street parking around the theater on Prince St, King St, and Vine St, which is not metered after 6pm and not metered Sundays! The parking garages are open. Steinman Garage, Prince St Garage, and Duke St Garage are recommended in that order! On the weekends the garage is $5 for the whole day!
