FRCS programs are offered to SOUTHINGTON RESIDENTS ONLY

You must request a ticket for each child that will be participating, including infants. (You do not need to include adults.) When registering please include parent name and child(ren’s) name. Ex: 2 tickets Parents first name (Child 1 & Child 2 names) last name

Cooking with children can be messy, takes preparation, and requires a certain amount of dedication to the cause. However, cooking is also fantastic for nurturing a whole array of skills: it builds confidence within the children and is a terrific inclusive activity for a caregiver and child to do together. Children in this class will be doing the scooping, measuring, spreading, slicing and tasting right alongside you. Curious Chef teaches children the basics of cooking in a fun, informal and safe environment. You will find that children will try foods many wouldn’t normally contemplate tasting at home purely because they see the other children doing it, and of course they want to eat what they have cooked! Class begins with a story and ends with a small group activity.

Classes are held at Southington High School.

*This class is suitable for children ages 3 and older accompanied by 1 supervising adult.

The class must have 5 registered families to run this program.

Dates: 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11

This class is not suitable for children with food allergies.

This class has previously been offered and activities are the same as we are limited to what we can prepare in the classroom. Priority will be given to families who are new to this program. Remaining spaces will be offered to interested families who have attended previously.
