Wednesday Birders: Wilson Springs Ponds

To secure a place at this event, registration is required. Please make sure ALL fields are filled out on the registration form and a confirmation email is received.

Join the Golden Eagle Audubon as we wander around the Wilson Springs Ponds nature area looking for early spring birds. The trail at Wilson Springs Ponds is an easy and accessible scenic path along a paved 1 mile loop. Some of the birds we may encounter include a wide variety of ducks like Buffleheads and Northern Shovelers, as well as raptors, sparrows, and more.

Birding Skill Level: All experience levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 9:00 - 11:00am
We will meet at the parking lot of Wilson Springs Ponds near the center entrance. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)
What to bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, comfortable shoes, binoculars, water, and snacks as needed. A scope will be available, but please feel free to bring your own. No dogs please.
Restroom Availability: Vault restrooms are available near the parking lot, and about halfway along the trail.
Inclement weather: If there is steady rain forecast, the trip will be cancelled. If precipitation is light or intermittent, we will proceed as scheduled.
