Wednesday Birders: Spring Valley Creek Trail at Avimor

To secure a place at this event, registration is required. Please make sure ALL fields are filled out on the registration form and a confirmation email is received.

Join the Golden Eagle Audubon Society for a walk along Avimor's Spring Valley Creek. The pace will be slow to allow everyone to enjoy the birds and watch any interesting bird behavior. We'll be on the lookout for a variety of spring birds including wrens, sparrows, buntings, goldfinches, and more! Be prepared to walk about 2 miles on a single track trail loop with some deep sand and gravel.

Birding Skill Level: All experience levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.
Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 8:00 am - 10:30 am
The parking lot at Foothills Heritage Park.
Trail Advisory: If trail conditions are not suitable for ethical passage, we will divert to an alternate location. Please check your email for any updates.
What to Bring: Layers for weather, closed toe shoes, binoculars, sunscreen, water, and snacks as needed. No dogs please.
Restroom Availability: There is a restroom at the Exxon gas station at the Avimor entrance. There may be a portable restroom open in the park.
Inclement Weather: If there is steady rain forecast, the trip will be cancelled. If precipitation is light or intermittent, we will proceed as scheduled.
