Wednesday Birders at Avimor's Spring Valley Creek

Registration is required to attend this event as space is limited. Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a walk along Avimor's Spring Valley Creek Trail. The pace will be slow to allow everyone to enjoy the birds and watch any interesting bird behavior. We'll be on the lookout for a variety of spring birds including wrens, sparrows, buntings, goldfinches, and more! Be prepared to walk about 2 miles on a single track trail loop with some deep sand and gravel.

Trail Advisory: If trail conditions are not suitable for ethical passage, we will divert to an alternate location. Please check your email for any updates.

Accessibility: This event is appropriate for those with visual impairment and/or limited mobility that are comfortable with walking on un-paved trails.

Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 8:00am - 10:30am. Check-in is at 7:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.

The parking lot at Foothills Heritage Park. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)

What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, closed-toe shoes, water, and snacks as needed. A scope will be available for the group to share. No dogs please.

Restroom Availability: There is a restroom at the Exxon gas station at the Avimor entrance. There may be a portable restroom open in the park.

Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI, steady precipitation forecast, or the trails are not suitable for ethical passage, the trip may be cancelled.

Cancellation Policy: If your plans change, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact the field trip leader listed above. Participants who miss two trips without advance notice may be suspended from registering for three months. Thanks for your understanding!
