Weaving Your Grief
About this Event
Grief is something we all experience, yet finding the space, time, or words to process it isn't always easy. Whether we're grieving the loss of a loved one, a life transition, a relationship, or a version of ourselves, grief can show up in many different ways. And sometimes, we simply need a space where we can pause, feel, and begin to make sense of what we're carrying.
Join us for Weaving Your Grief, a gentle, creative workshop where we will explore weaving as a tool for reflection, emotional expression, and healing.
Facilitated by licensed social worker Carmen, this experience invites participants to slow down and connect with the process of creating, one thread at a time. Through the mindful practice of weaving, we will explore how creativity can help us navigate difficult emotions, cultivate patience with ourselves, and develop tools for emotional regulation.
Just as each thread becomes part of a larger tapestry, our experiences, memories, and emotions are all part of our stories. There is no right or wrong way to create, and there is no timeline for grief. This is simply an opportunity to give yourself permission to be present, explore what comes up, and connect with others in a welcoming and supportive environment.
What to Expect:
- An introduction to weaving as a creative tool for processing grief.
- A guided, hands-on weaving experience.
- Opportunities for personal reflection and emotional expression.
- Practices that encourage patience, mindfulness, and emotional regulation.
- A welcoming community space to connect and create alongside others.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is open to adults of all backgrounds and experiences. No previous weaving or artistic experience is necessary. Whether you are actively navigating grief or simply interested in exploring creative approaches to emotional wellness, you are welcome here.
Come as you are. There is no need to have everything figured out. Sometimes healing begins with simply making space for ourselves, one thread at a time.
We look forward to weaving alongside you!
