Join us on Monday March 9th from 4pm to 5:30 at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji for an artist talk and Q&A with Master Weaver and Teacher, Kelly Marshall. The presentation is a broad-spectrum lecture on design and specific rep weave (Swedish Ripsmatta) technique. It is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Doors open at 3pm.The lecture is presented in conjunction with the exhibit "Connecting Threads" by the Bemidji Area Weavers Guild. In addition, Kelly Marshall will lead a rep weave workshop on March 10 - 12 for intermediate to advanced weavers and will include demonstration, development/practice of fundamental techniques, problem solving, class instruction, and one on one assistance. The lecture and rep weave workshop are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through an Artist’s Engage Community grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
