For the first time, Tribal Wisdom is manifesting a dream collaboration with Indigenous wisdom and indigenous handcraft, themed WEAVING WISDOM. From storytelling such as the Spider Woman and the symbolism of weaving and mycelium in ancient etymology to the healing energy of functional weaving and making art, the theme of weaving has many dimensions to explore together.
This weekend brings together several Traditional Knowledge Keepers, including:
~ Marcela Astete from Peru (
~ Liane Lankrijer from The Netherlands (
~ Cristian Velásquez from Colombia (
~ and supporting craftspeople like Conny Bertrand, Truus Oosterhuis and ... you!
Everyone brings a skill, a story, a remembrance, or another way in which you complete the circle of this tribe, which we collectively create this weekend.
During the weekend we will share our weaving wisdom and learn to weave in different ways, enjoy deliciously cooked meals (by chef Ben Acket) and create a collective art piece to be finished by .
