Welcome to April in Oklahoma, where the the symphony of tornado sirens is the song of our people! Whether you've climbed out of a pile of rubble after the storm passed over your hide-y-hole or you've navigated through the emotional debris from the storms in your life, come tell your story of how you've survived and made it through to the brighter days.
Join us at OK Cider Co. at 705 W. Sheridan as we raise a glass and spin stories about the storms we have weathered.
The OKC StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling event. Participants are invited to tell a story in seven minutes or less, relating to the theme for each event. Our April theme is "Weathering the Storm." Stories must be true (or as best remembered by the storyteller) and told without the use of notes.
All participating storytellers can sign up to tell their story at the beginning of the evening. Prizes will be awarded to the best stories of the evening. Must be 21 or up to attend this event.
