Ladies and gentlemen,
The Haye Brothers are pleased to present to you the WEATHERFORD CLASSIC! Haye brothers- Grayson, Austin, Sumner, and Sutton have enjoyed strength sports (primarily strongman) for many years, and are thrilled to provide a show to our local community collectively.
This is a show you will not want to miss, with classic events as well as a unique Highland Games event. We hope to offer a show that you can prep for with ease. Let's not forget about the prize opportunities, which will include CASH, as well as prizes from our wonderful sponsors. It is our goal to make you feel like a top-tier athlete while you are with us.
Event Venue location: Metroflex Gym, Weatherford
Weigh In Location: Metroflex Gym, Weatherford
Weigh-ins will be available on 10/31 as well as the morning of the competition from 7 - 8 AM. Contact Sumner Haye to confirm your weigh-in time at Metroflex Gym Weatherford
Event Date and Times:
Saturday, November 1. All athletes must be checked in by 8 AM on Saturday, November 1! This includes weigh-ins. If you are late to check in and get weighed, you will not be allowed to continue.
Rules meeting starts at 8:15 AM sharp
Warmup starts at 8:30 AM
Event begins at 9:00 AM

Strongman Corporation membership is required for all competitors and can be purchased online at https://strongmancorporation.com/memberships/. Please note that USS and Strongman Corporation are not the same, and you will need a Strongman Corporation membership for this competition.
Nationals bids will be awarded in Open classes based on the number of athletes in each class as follows:
- 1 athlete in a class: the promoter may merge the class with another class; if the athlete competes alone they will earn an invite by completing (i.e. not “zeroing”) at least 4 of the 5 events to the standards originally set forth by the promoter.
- 2-4 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for Nationals
- 5-9 athletes in a class: 1st and 2nd place qualify for Nationals
- 10+ athletes in a class: 1st-3rd place qualify for Nationals
Masters Athletes qualify for America's Strongest Master by placing in the top 3 of a Masters class *or* in the top 5 of an Open class.
Teens qualify for America's Strongest Teen by participating in a Teen, Novice, or Open division.
Weigh-ins will be conducted in KILOGRAMS and there is NO "allowance" for clothing. For example, an athlete in the 64kg class must weigh in at 64.0kg or less. Athletes must weigh in wearing (minimally) a bra and underwear.

Event 1: Yoke/Sandbag Medley
60 seconds
Score based on time if finished. Score based on distance if not finished.
Competitors will get set up under the yoke prior to the whistle. On the Whistle, Competitors will run the yoke down a 50ft course and set it down. As soon as the front of the yoke passes the line, the athlete will drop the yoke and run back and pick up their sandbag. They will run the sandbag down to the yoke and load it over the yoke bar to complete the course.
Allowed Equipment: Belts, hard and soft, Grip Shirts, Knee sleeves, Elbow sleeves, chalk, wrist wraps. Shoes must be worn during this event.
Disallowed Equipment: Tacky, straps of any kind.
Event 2: Log Press for Reps
60 seconds
Score based on reps completed. No time splits.
Men’s divisions will use a 12” log and Women’s divisions will use a 10” log. Competitors will start with their hands off the log. On the whistle, they will clean and press each rep of the log. To get a down call, competitors must display control at lockout and have their head through. Tree topping is not allowed. Competitors must keep their hands in contact with the log as it descends to prevent it from rolling forward off the pads and into the judges. All techniques are allowed. If a split jerk is used, competitors must bring their feet back under their hips to receive a down command.
Allowed Equipment: Belts, hard and soft, Grip Shirts, Knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk.
Disallowed Equipment: Tacky, straps of any kind.
Event 3: Texas Power Deadlift for Reps
60 seconds
Score Based on reps completed. No time splits.
Standard-height deadlift from the floor. Standard diameter power bars will be used. Competitors may set their straps prior to the whistle. On the Whistle, competitors will deadlift the weight and await their down command from the judge. Hips and knees must be locked out to receive a down command. Hitching the weight is allowed. Touch-and-go reps are not allowed. The weight must rest completely on the ground before going back up. will result in reps not being counted by the judge.
Allowed Equipment: Belts, hard and soft. Knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, straps (any kind), chalk.
Disallowed Equipment: Tacky, Deadlift suits or briefs. Squat suits or briefs.
Floating Event: Clan Hay Single Arm Throw
60 seconds
Score based on reps completed. No time Splits.
Kilts are optional but encouraged for aura points. This event can be completed at any time after the competition starts. This is a single-arm weight over bar event. On the whistle, competitors will throw a fixed weight over a fixed height bar as many times as possible in 60 seconds. Any single-arm techniques are allowed.
Allowed Equipment: Belts, hard and soft, chalk, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves.
Disallowed Equipment: Tacky, straps of any kind.
Event 5: Farmer’s Finale
60 seconds
Score based on time if completed. Score based on distance if not completed. No time splits for distance.
This will be a heavy farmer's walk for 50 ft. Unlimited drops allowed. Competitors will start with their hands off the implements. Shoes must be worn during this event. Height to be announced for each class.
Allowed Equipment: Belts, hard and soft. Chalk, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves.
Disallowed Equipment: Tacky, straps of any kind, deadlift suits or briefs. Squat suits or briefs.
