Join us on the wear blue Tribute Mile at the 30th Air Force Marathon in Dayton, Ohio, as we stand together to honor our nation’s fallen heroes.
We need 200 volunteers to hold a flag - one for each of the fallen heroes along the Tribute Mile. This is your chance to make a real impact. Bring your heart, your compassion, and your unwavering courage. When you join us, you become the heartbeat of this living tribute, ensuring every sacrifice echoes, every name is honored, and every story endures. Together, we carry their legacy forward.
— What: wear blue Tribute Mile at the 2026 Air Force Marathon
* No running required. You don’t have to run to make a difference - just come out and hold a flag.
* Every flag you hold honors a fallen hero, someone’s son, daughter, friend, or loved one - a real person with dreams, laughter, and a family who misses them every day.
* By volunteering, you ensure that each name is spoken, remembered, and honored.
— What to Expect: Stand together with fellow volunteers, each holding an American flag with a fallen hero’s name, as we cheer the runners on in celebration of their lives. Together, you will help form a line of hope and remembrance, transforming the Tribute Mile into a living testament to sacrifice and honor as we support those impacted by military loss.

5:30 am – 11:00 am EDT
* Enter through gate 12A by the Hope Hotel.
* Please arrive by 5:30 a.m. as you will likely encounter traffic, and the WPAFB base gate closes at 6 a.m.
— Where: Novick Road, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio
Volunteer Parking: HERE; just above in the NASIC parking lot on Watson Way(GPS Coordinates: 39°48'02.5"N 84°03'11.2"W)
Volunteer Check-in: HERE; Along Novick Road (GPS Coordinates: 39°48'07.7"N 84°03'13.7"W)
* Please allow extra travel time for possible delays.

* This is a family-friendly event for all ages and abilities.
* Participation is free. Shirts, coffee, and refreshments provided.
