About this Event

This year's World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) forum; Awareness, Action and Financial Safety is an opportunity for Howard County residents and professionals to come together to learn about the signs and patterns of identity theft and scams. Participants will gain practical strategies to prevent and respond to exploitation, and connect with local resources and support systems designed to protect older adults, caregivers and professionals.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Featuring special presentations by Tracy Rezvani, Administrator for the Howard County Office of Consumer Protection, and Assistant Attorney General, Jeff Karberg.

Presented by the Howard County Office on Aging and Independence and sponsored by AARP, this forum serves as an essential platform for community members dedicated to safeguarding older adults from exploitation.

Free to attend, but each attendee must register individually. Register today to secure your spot.

Please note that carpooling is recommended as there is limited on-site parking available.

If there are no un-numbered parking spaces available at Miller's Grant, please park at the Library or 50+ Center and cross over the bridge to the listed address.
