Featuring:
The Electric Paper Clips (Cedar Rapids): The Electric Paper Clips are an up and coming four-piece rock band that writes original songs. They have pulled from various influences ranging from psychedelic rock to alternative rock with a unique blend that is original to the group. They also do their takes on classic songs. They released a debut demo EP in 2024 with four original songs that quickly sold out its first pressing. The EP is still selling well and is available on CD and YouTube.
Stiggy Pop (Dubuque): is a two-person dreamy indie rock project from Wisconsin that just released an album called Strawberry Moon. It is our best attempt at capturing the magic of summer nights?fireflies, sunset drives, stargazing? Our new sound blends dream pop, neo-psychedelia, and indie rock, lyrics that reflect on how quickly summer flies by, and analog textures and melodies often inspired by the kind of music you'd find in old video games or electronica. We got our start making instrumental rock, so it has been exciting to take our sound in a new direction.
We Were Paper (Quad Cities): The project was the brainchild of singer-songwriter Jack Morrow. In June of 2025, Morrow recorded We Were Paper's debut EP at Flat Black Studios, blending lo-fi grit with youthful urgency. Later that year, the lineup was completed with the addition of Paige Jackson on bass and Weston Libby on drums. While the band name is new, the lineup is composed of seasoned members who have already performed at iconic local venues such as Raccoon Motel, Gabes, The Rust Belt, Redstone Room, The Washington, Alternating Currents, and Rascals. We Were Paper's known for their fun, high-energy stage presence and a love for raw, feedback-soaked sound. Their sound reflects wide-ranging influences, blending the offbeat charm of Weezer, the lo-fi aesthetic of Pavement, and the emotional punch of Los Campesinos! The result is a fresh and unmistakably personal sound defined by catchy earworms with fuzzed-out edges.
