The MFA Trio makes it's debut performance at Quinn's in Beacon on Dec 30th.
The MFA Trio is a new Organ Trio playing contemporary American Music. Comprised of Luke Franco (guitar), Neil ‘Nail’ Alexander (organ) & Bob Meyer (drums & cymbals), the MFA Trio performs a combination of original compositions, choice jazz standards and music composed by John Abercrombie, Bert Wilson and other contemporary jazz composers. Bob Meyer (drums & cymbals) is an internationally recognized jazz artist known for his work with oe Lovano, Bert Wilson, John Abercrombie and many many others. Keyboardist Neil ‘Nail’ Alexander has been performing and composing original music for 50 years across multiple genres and formats such as contemporary classical, fusion and funk. Guitarist Luke Franco spent his formative years with John Abercrombie, developing his own unique style and compositional voice.
