Join the League of Women Voters for our third annual Equality Day Celebration, We the Women, as we shine a light on remarkable women whose contributions helped advance civil rights, education, the arts, public service, military history, and the fight for equality. Through engaging, interview-style portrayals by local League members, you'll meet historical figures whose voices, achievements, and determination continue to influence our communities and our democracy today.
In celebration of Women's Equality Day, we invite you to discover the stories of women who challenged expectations, broke barriers, and helped shape the world we know today. Their names may or may not all be familiar, but their impact deserves to be remembered.
