About this Event
On Constitution Day, join Leading Kansas and neighbors from across our community for a solemn candlelight vigil to honor and defend the document that defines our democracy.
At a time when the Constitution is under attack, we gather to remind ourselves--and our leaders--that "We the People" give it life. Together, we will read aloud its words, reflect on its meaning, and recommit to preserving it for future generations.
Electric candles will be provided to the first 500 participants. Just bring yourself, your voice, and your commitment to protecting the freedoms that belong to us all.
Let's stand in unity to affirm that the Constitution is not anyone's to erode--it is ours to uphold.
Accessibility Information
We will have an area cordoned off for the use of individuals who require any support with mobility, including but not limited to anyone who uses a cane, wheelchair, walker, etc. Chairs will not be provided, but will be allowed. If you will have family or friends sitting with you in the accessibility area, please be sure to bring a lawnchair for them as well so everyone in the accessibility area can see.
