About this Event
Join poet, essayist, and scholar M. Nzadi Keita (CC Fellow, 1999) as she presents poets from our Camden, NJ Regional Workshop, We Still Here: Present-Moment Quilt Poems / Quilt, Spell, Incantation. Readers will share works that consider quilts, spells, and incantations as emblems of singular moments, invoking the artistry of Gee’s Bend, quiltmakers, Faith Ringgold, and Bernice Reagon to distill affirmative, restorative power from the poems to themselves and the audience.
