“We Speak Perry” is a program that works to help recruit and train new volunteers to build new community ambassadors for Perry. We Speak Perry graduates serve as a walking Welcome Center and Perry ambassador during daily interactions with residents and visitors. They enhance the visitor experience by providing information, recommendations, and a welcoming smile.
This free program requires a 2-hour orientation where community organizations will share with you on how to “speak” Perry. This orientation will educate and empower volunteers in all aspects of Perry. Graduates will leave with an “I Speak Perry” t-shirt and Certificate.
This program will directly connect you to local organizations such as Historic Downtown Perry, the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, and more, with which you can volunteer in the future as you desire.
Pre-registration is required! Space for orientation classes are limited. You will receive email confirmation of orientation meeting date & time.
The mission of the We Speak Perry Program is to ensure that every volunteer is armed with the knowledge and tools needed to cultivate meaningful conversations with residents and visitors about our community and all that it has to offer.
