GET READY AS ONE OF STAND-UP COMEDY’S WILDEST STARS INVADES THE 209!One of the nation’s premier comedy entertainment companies returns to Modesto, CA, with the wildest group of performers in stand-up comedy as part of We Own The Laughs: Modesto on Saturday March 14th inside The State Theatre.
The event will feature hilarious performances by Patrick Eley, Tyson Paul, Maddi Mays and our evening’s headliner, comedy star Annie Lederman.
Drink, Mingle, & Laugh as our evening host, 209 native George Brett Olson, takes the stage.

Forming in 2018, WOTL has expanded throughout the U.S., including regular appearances at legendary comedy clubs/venues across California, Montana, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, New York, and Texas.

George Brett Olson
George Brett Olson is a stand-up comedian known for his sharp observational humor, clever wordplay, and laid-back delivery. Blending self-aware storytelling with dry, offbeat perspectives on everyday life, Olson brings a smart, relatable edge to the stage that resonates with audiences who appreciate subtle, well-crafted comedy.

Patrick Eley
Comedian and martial artist. Eley lived in many places before calling the 209 area his home, including Florida where he was introduced to boxing during his undergraduate. His comedy examines the challenges of modern America, reflecting on the contrasts between classes and regional culture.
Tyson Paul
A veteran comedian based in Central California who has spent most of his adult years in the comedy business, the We Own The Laughs founder has performed in various comedy clubs all over the West Coast, including The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Punchline Sacramento, The Well Comedy Club, Mic Drop Comedy Club, and Cobbs Comedy Club. With a career spanning over two decades, Tyson has been fortunate enough to share the stage with some of comedy’s biggest stars, including Tiffany Haddish, Amy Schumer, Ari Shaffir, and Alfred Robles.
Maddi Mays
Maddi Mays is Houston-raised, Los Angeles-based Artist, Costume Designer, Stylist & Illustrator, who approaches every project as a new world to dive into. Maddi has experience working in TV/Film, Theatre & Music Videos. She has worked on TV shows like Hulu’s Dollface and NBC’s Bust Down as a costume illustrator and PA, additionally graphic designing the logo for Bust Down. Maddi has also worked as a stylist for the artist Peyton on her music video Perfect Peach and for BRS Kash on his music video, I’m Hot, and has assistant styled for Migos & Brent Faiyaz. Additionally, Maddi has licensed her original artwork for HBO’s “PAUSE with Sam Jay”, which can be seen on the walls of every episode. Maddi’s work explores character, identity and femininity. She is passionate about creating work that is striking and thought-provoking, whilst capturing subtle nuances that create an honest and fully-grounded world.

Annie Lederman
Annie Lederman is your favorite comedian. A standup comic, podcaster, writer & actress. She is co-host of the hit podcast TRASH TUESDAY’s along with Khahlya Kuhn and Esther Povitsky. When she isn’t hosting her own podcasts she is usually talking with her friends on theirs. She can regularly be heard on THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE, TOUR MOMS HOUSE, THE CHURCH WITH JOEY DIAZ, WTF WITH MARC MARON, among many others.
Most recently Annie can be seen featured in Showtime’s hit documentary miniseries THE COMEDY STORE alongside Jay Leno, David Letterman, Joe Rogan, and many other Comedy Store legends. Additionally, Annie has been seen or heard on all your favorite TV networks including Comedy Central ( LIGHTS OUT WITH DAVID SPADE & THIS IS NOT HAPPENING), MTV (GIRL CODE) , E! (CHELSEA LATELY), & TruTV (COMEDY KNOCKOUT, THE SOUP INVESTIGATES, & ADAM DEVINE’S HOUSE PARTY). After Chelsea, Annie hosted her own short lived pop-culture talk show WE HAVE ISSUES. Additionally acted alongside Ron Livingston in the 2017 Cannes darling THE LONG DUMB ROAD.
But wait…that’s not all! On the writing front Annie starred and wrote, STAND UPS, a scripted Comedy Central pilot, produced by Dan Powell (co-creator of INSIDE AMY SCHUMER). She also wrote for IMPRACTICAL JOKERS as well as BORAT. Additionally she was a producer and writer on Sacha Baron Cohen’s Showtime series WHO IS AMERICA?
Lastly, but probably most importantly, Annie is a paid regular at The World Famous Comedy Store where she can be seen performing alongside all the legends in the game.
